Career in the age of AI
“Is AI going to take my job?” is the wrong question. The good one is finer: AI doesn’t erase professions in one stroke — it reorganises the work inside each of them. So there’s no list of “doomed” trades here, but a reading, profession by profession, anchored in what each task actually is.
We looked at 72 professions and sorted them into three directions of the wind: 30 hold up, 35 mutate and 7 erode. It isn’t a fate with a date on it; it’s which way the wind is blowing.
The body, the bond, judgment carrying real responsibility, or genuine originality are the core of the work. AI helps at the edges, but doesn't touch what's essential.
